Leaf's waitlist collects one thing: an email address. This page says who holds it, why, for how long, and how to make it go away. It is short because there is very little to tell.
Who is responsible
Leaf is run by Harsh Patel, an individual, not a company. For anything on this page, write to support@leafreading.club. That address is read by one person.
What is collected
- Your email address, because you typed it into the form.
- The date and time you submitted it.
That is the whole record. No name, no IP address stored against it, no location, no profile, nothing inferred about you.
What is not collected
This site sets no cookies, uses no localStorage, and runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no session recording. Typefaces are served from this domain rather than a font CDN, so loading the page does not announce your visit to a third party. There is nothing to consent to, which is why there is no cookie banner.
Why, and on what basis
Your address is used for exactly one thing: to email you when Leaf opens up, and occasionally before that if there is something genuinely worth saying about it. The lawful basis is your consent (UK/EU GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given when you submitted the form. You can withdraw it at any time and that costs you nothing.
Your address is never sold, rented, traded, or handed to advertisers.
How long it is kept
One year from the day you join. After that it is deleted whether or not Leaf has launched. If you ask for it sooner, it goes sooner — normally the same day, and always within 30 days.
Who else touches it
- Supabase — the database and the function that receives the form. Servers are in the United States, covered by Supabase's data processing terms and standard contractual clauses.
- The host of this page — serves the site and keeps short-lived server logs of requests, as every web server does.
Nobody else. There is no email marketing platform behind this yet.
Your rights
If UK or EU data protection law applies to you, you can ask to:
- see what is held about you;
- correct it;
- have it deleted;
- restrict or object to what is done with it;
- receive it in a portable form;
- withdraw your consent, at any time.
Email support@leafreading.club and say which. No form to fill in, no account to log into, no reason required. If you think it has been handled badly you can complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK that is the ICO.
Changes
If this changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and anyone already on the list gets told before it takes effect.
